Building a healthier future, together.
Gallbladder atrophy may be caused by inflammatory substances stimulation, stones, gallbladder surgery and other reasons.
1. Inflammatory substances stimulate
long-term cholecystitis. When inflammation recurs, gallbladder tissue is continuously damaged, resulting in fibrosis and atrophy of the gallbladder wall.
2. Stones
When the gallbladder stones are large or large, they can block the gallbladder outlet or gallbladder neck, causing obstruction of bile discharge, causing diverticulum formation and atrophy of the gallbladder.
3. Cholecystectomy
After cholecystectomy, the gallbladder naturally disappears, and bile directly enters the intestine from the liver, so the gallbladder after surgery may gradually shrink.
It is recommended that patients with gallbladder atrophy should go to the hospital for examination and active treatment according to their own conditions.
