What's the difference between yang deficiency and yin deficiency?

The main difference between yang deficiency and yin deficiency lies in different causes, different symptoms and different therapeutic drugs, as follows:
1. Different causes of yang deficiency
are mostly caused by long stay in cold place, poor congenital constitution, old age and chronic illness. The occurrence of yin deficiency is mostly related to excessive thinking and labor, too frequent sexual intercourse, tuberculosis and insects attacking the lungs.
2. Different symptoms of yang deficiency are
often characterized by palpitation, chest tightness, general fear of cold, edema, clear urine, etc., while yin deficiency is characterized by dry mouth, thin body, dry cough, listlessness, soreness of waist
