Causes of rheumatic fever

Rheumatic fever may be related to factors such as environment, infection, immune response, etc.

1. Environment such

as malnutrition, poor living conditions, economic pressure, etc., the above factors may affect the function of the immune system, thus inducing rheumatic fever.

2. The

main cause of infection is throat infection with group A hemolytic streptococci. In most cases, it generally does not cause disease, but if the immunity is reduced or the streptococci strain is more virulent, it may cause rheumatic fever.

3. Immune response

The body will produce immune response against pathogens, but it may make mistakes and mistake its own tissues as foreign invaders, thus attacking normal tissues and causing rheumatic fever.
