Ankle pain, what to do?

Restoring health, restoring hope.
Ankle pain can be caused by a variety of causes, including ankle sprains, ankle fractures, gouty arthritis, etc.
1. Ankle
sprains are common causes of ankle pain, usually caused by excessive twisting or stretching of the ankle joint.
Treatment includes rest, ice, compression bandages, and lifting of the affected limb. If the sprain is severe, crutches or walkers may be needed to help walk.
2. Ankle fractures
Ankle fractures can also cause ankle pain, and X-rays are usually required to determine the extent and location of the fracture.
Treatment includes fixation of the fracture site, use of crutches or walkers, and rehabilitation exercises.
3. Gouty arthritis
Gouty arthritis is a disease caused by purine metabolism disorders, manifested by ankle pain, swelling, and fever.
Treatment includes purine diet control, medication to reduce uric acid levels, and anti-inflammatory drugs to relieve pain. Commonly used drugs include benzbromarone, allopurinol tablets, and ibuprofen.
