Gastric polyps biopsy revealed gastric cancer

Healing hearts, one patient at a time.
Gastric polyps found by biopsy are treated with radical surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, etc.
1. Radical surgery
is aimed at completely removing the primary lesion of gastric cancer and the surrounding tissues that may be infiltrated by cancer cells, including part of the stomach wall and lymph nodes.
2. Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy is to kill or inhibit the growth and spread of cancer cells by using chemical drugs, such as cisplatin, etoposide, etc. Preoperative adjuvant chemotherapy can reduce the tumor size, reduce the stage, and improve the success rate of radical resection. Postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy can eliminate hidden micrometastases and prevent recurrence.
3. Radiotherapy
Radiotherapy is a treatment method that uses radiation to kill or inhibit the growth of cancer cells. Postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy can reduce the recurrence rate. Palliative radiotherapy for advanced gastric cancer can alleviate symptoms and prolong survival.
