Is myopia inherited?

Myopia has certain heritability, but not all myopia will be inherited.

If both parents or one of them has myopia, especially if the degree of myopia is deep, then the probability of myopia will increase. However, the occurrence of myopia is also affected by environmental factors, such as long-term use of electronic products, poor study and work habits, etc., which may increase the risk of myopia.
