How painful is an ordinary abortion?

A normal abortion is painful.

During abortion, the uterus needs to contract strongly to expel tissues such as embryos. This contraction is similar to severe dysmenorrhea, but often more severe, and may cause intermittent cramps in the lower abdomen for a longer period of time. In order for tissues such as embryos to pass smoothly through the cervical opening, the cervix needs to gradually expand from a closed state. This process produces sharp pain that is unbearable.

Everyone has a different tolerance for pain, but overall, the pain caused by a normal abortion is extremely challenging for most people, causing significant discomfort and pain.
