Symptoms of angle closure glaucoma

The symptoms of angle-closure glaucoma mainly include eye pain, fear of light, redness, vision loss, etc.

In the minor attack period, the symptoms may be mild, such as eye soreness, ipsilateral dizziness, etc., and may be relieved after rest. In the major attack, the symptoms will be more severe, such as obvious eye swelling, eye pain, accompanied by dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, sharp decline in vision, etc. If not treated in time, persistent high intraocular pressure will cause damage to the optic nerve, leading to vision loss and visual field defects, and this damage is irreversible. Therefore, angle-closure glaucoma needs early detection and early treatment.
