Atrophic gastritis is gastric atrophy?

Atrophic gastritis is usually gastric atrophy.

Patients with atrophic gastritis suffer repeated damage to the gastric mucosa epithelium, resulting in atrophy of the proper glands on the mucosa. Gastric atrophy refers to the reduction of gastric mucosa epithelium and proper glands, and the thinning of the mucosal layer. Because atrophic gastritis can lead to atrophy of the proper glands, atrophic gastritis is generally gastric atrophy.

Patients with atrophic gastritis can take antibiotics, acid inhibitors, gastric mucosal protective agents and other drugs, which can remove pathogens in the body, inhibit gastric acid secretion, reduce gastric mucosal damage, and thus relieve body discomfort.
