Difference Between Myopia and Amblyopia

The difference between myopia and amblyopia is mainly due to different pathogenesis, different symptoms and different correction methods.
1. Different pathogenesis: myopia is caused by the elongation of the patient's eye axis, resulting in parallel light entering the eye and focusing on the retina; amblyopia is caused by the abnormal function of the cerebral cortex visual center due to the poor development of the patient's visual system.
2. Different symptoms: myopia is mainly manifested as blurred vision at a distance; amblyopia is manifested as blurred vision at a distance.
3. Different correction methods: myopia is mainly corrected by wearing glasses or surgery; amblyopia patients need to be combined with masking therapy, depression therapy, visual stimulation therapy, etc.
