What is calculous cholecystitis?

Calculous cholecystitis may be caused by cystic duct obstruction, bacterial infection, etc. Improper diet may also induce calculous cholecystitis.

1. Cystic duct obstruction

If the patient's gallstones move to the cystic duct, it is easy to cause cystic duct obstruction and damage the mucosa.

2. Bacterial infection

If the patient has bacterial infection, a large number of pathogenic bacteria will retrograde enter the gallbladder and affect bile excretion, which will also cause calculous cholecystitis.

3. Improper diet

If the patient eats a lot of greasy food in a short period of time, it is easy to cause abnormal contraction of the gallbladder and induce calculous cholecystitis.
