What happens when you wake up in the morning and spit acid water?

Guiding you towards a healthier tomorrow.
Gastric acid vomiting when getting up in the morning may be caused by factors such as gastric ulcer, reflux esophagitis, early pregnancy, etc.
1. Gastric ulcer
is generally caused by the self-digestion of the gastric mucosa caused by gastric acid and pepsin, which gradually forms an ulcer. When the patient has no food to digest in the stomach in the morning, it may cause an increase in gastric acid, resulting in symptoms of gastric acid vomiting when getting up in the morning.
2. Reflux esophagitis
is generally caused by a decrease in esophageal clearance capacity and a weakening of the defensive barrier of the esophageal mucosa. When the structure of the patient's esophageal junction changes, it may cause reflux of gastric contents, which can be manifested as symptoms of gastric acid vomiting in the morning.
3. Early pregnancy When a
patient's menstrual period is delayed by more than a week, it may be due to an increase in human chorionic gonadotropin hormone in the body. This may cause an early pregnancy reaction. At this time, the patient may experience symptoms of gastric acid vomiting when getting up in the morning.
