Gastric triple therapy refers to triple therapy for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori, which is a proton pump inhibitor or bismuth agent and two antibiotics.

Helicobacter pylori is a bacterium associated with gastrointestinal diseases, which may cause gastritis, gastric ulcers and even gastric cancer. Therefore, after the discovery of Helicobacter pylori infection, triple therapy with a proton pump inhibitor or bismuth agent and two antibiotics was used in the past. However, due to the easy resistance of Helicobacter pylori to the above antibiotics, triple therapy has basically been abandoned, and now it is generally dominated by quadruple therapy.
