Gastritis and gastric ulcer usually take one week to several months to cure, depending on the severity of the disease.

Gastritis gastric ulcer how long can cure commonly

Acute gastritis can usually be cured in about a week, usually not more than a month; but if it is chronic atrophic gastritis, due to lack of specific drug treatment, usually takes 3 to 6 months, or even longer.

If it is an ulcer occurring in the gastric antrum or a more superficial ulcer, usually two weeks to three weeks can be cured; but if it occurs in the gastric angle, gastric fundus, duodenal bulb posterior wall or distal ulcer, or ulcer accompanied by Helicobacter pylori infection, the treatment time is usually longer, may take about two months.
