I just finished eating. What's with the purring?

Building a healthier future together.
Bowel grunts after a meal may be caused by bowel sounds, digestive problems, intestinal diseases, etc.
1. Bowel sounds Bowel
sounds are normal manifestations of intestinal peristalsis. When food is digested in the intestinal tract, gas will be produced. At the same time, swallowing action will also make gas enter the intestinal tract. When these gases move in the intestinal tract, they will resonate with the flow of liquid, thus producing bowel sounds, mainly manifested as grunting sounds.
2. Digestive problems
Certain foods, such as beans, vegetables and high-fiber foods, produce more gas during digestion, resulting in more pronounced bowel sounds. In addition, too much acid, insufficient digestive enzymes or too little acid can cause digestive problems, causing bowel sounds.
3. Intestinal diseases
Some intestinal diseases, such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and irritable bowel syndrome, may cause increased or persistent bowel sounds. These diseases affect the normal function of the intestine, causing abnormal gas and fluid flow in the intestine, and then make a sound.
