How does neonatal conjunctivitis return a responsibility how to do

Healing hearts, one patient at a time.
Neonatal conjunctivitis may be caused by imperfect development of lacrimal gland, chemical or physical stimulation, pathogen infection, etc., as follows:
1. imperfect development of lacrimal gland If the
development of neonatal lacrimal gland is imperfect, the lysozyme in the eyes is less, which may affect the washing of pathogens and cause neonatal conjunctivitis.
2. Chemical or physical stimulation
If the newborn is stimulated by sand and dust, it may lead to conjunctival congestion and edema, and conjunctivitis.
3. Pathogen infection
may lead to chlamydia and gonococcal infection in newborns during clinical delivery, resulting in neonatal conjunctivitis.
General treatment and drug treatment can be taken for neonatal conjunctivitis, as follows:
1. General treatment
Parents should pay attention to the eye hygiene of newborns. For newborns with more secretions, they can wash secretions with normal saline.
2. Drug treatment
For neonatal conjunctivitis caused by chlamydia infection, azithromycin and erythromycin can be used. If it is caused by Staphylococcus aureus infection, ofloxacin and vancomycin can be used to improve it.
