High intraocular pressure in children may be caused by excessive use of the eye, eye trauma, glaucoma and other reasons.
1. Excessive use of the eye
If the child often stays up late or long-term use of electronic products, it is easy to cause excessive congestion and swelling of the eyeball, which may cause transient high intraocular pressure.
2. Eye trauma
If the child has recent eye trauma, the eyeball usually appears obvious congestion and swelling under the action of external force, and the internal pressure of the eyeball will also increase.
3. Glaucoma
If the child has glaucoma, when the water circulation in the eye is blocked, it will accumulate in large quantities and cause high intraocular pressure.
