How does a brain tumor die in its late stages?

Building bridges to better health.
Brain tumor patients usually die due to rapid increase in intracranial pressure, brain hernia formation, systemic organ failure and other reasons.
1. Rapid increase in intracranial pressure
Brain tumor growth will occupy intracranial space, leading to gradual increase in intracranial pressure. With the progress of the disease, intracranial pressure can rise sharply, causing severe headache, frequent vomiting and other symptoms, serious can lead to loss of consciousness, coma, and then life-threatening.
2. Brain hernia formation
When intracranial pressure rises to a certain extent, brain tissue will be squeezed and displaced to form brain hernia. Brain hernia can compress important nerve structures and blood vessels, such as compression of the brain stem, which will quickly cause respiratory and cardiac arrest.
3. Systemic organ failure Late
brain tumor may affect the function of multiple systems of the body. For example, it may affect the endocrine system, leading to hormone secretion disorders; affect the autonomic nervous system, causing blood pressure, heart rate and other instability; long-term bed rest may also cause lung infection, deep vein thrombosis and other complications, which can lead to systemic organ failure and eventually lead to death.
