Is the radiation treatment in the late stage?

Radiotherapy does not mean that it is advanced.

In early stage cancer, radiotherapy can be used as the main treatment method for some cases where surgery is more difficult or surgery may bring greater trauma and functional impact, such as early nasopharyngeal carcinoma. In intermediate stage cancer, radiotherapy is often combined with surgery and chemotherapy to improve the treatment effect and reduce the risk of recurrence.

Even in advanced stage cancer patients, radiotherapy is also important. It can be used to relieve pain caused by tumor, improve the quality of life of patients, and also cooperate with other treatment methods to prolong the survival time of patients. Radiotherapy can also be used as adjuvant treatment after tumor treatment, such as preventing local recurrence after surgery.

Radiotherapy may play a key role in the whole process of tumor treatment, but it cannot be simply equated with advanced disease. Its application needs to be comprehensively considered and decided according to the specific condition of patients, tumor characteristics and other factors.
