What is the easiest way to measure jaundice?

Dedicated to your well-being.
The method of measuring jaundice includes physical examination, laboratory examination, imaging examination, etc., but there is no such thing as the simplest method in clinical practice.
1. Physical examination
can preliminarily determine whether jaundice exists by observing the degree of yellowing of skin and mucosa of patients.
2. Laboratory examination can
take venous blood samples for biochemical analysis, determine the values of total bilirubin, direct bilirubin and indirect bilirubin, and can diagnose jaundice. At the same time, it can help determine whether jaundice is related to liver problems, hemolysis and other factors.
3. Imaging examination
can determine the anatomical etiology of jaundice through imaging examinations such as ultrasound and MRI.
