What are the three stomach functions?

Guiding you with care, every step of the way.
The three items of gastric function include serum gastrin, pepsinogen I and pepsinogen I/II ratio.
1. Serum gastrin
is a gastrointestinal hormone that can promote gastric acid secretion. Detection of serum gastrin level is helpful to judge the state and function of gastric mucosa. If the index is obviously increased, it is necessary to be alert to non-atrophic gastritis, gastrinoma and other diseases.
2. Pepsinogen I
pepsinogen I is an important indicator reflecting the number of gastric mucosa glands and cells, which can reflect the secretion function of different parts of gastric mucosa, thus judging the degree of gastric mucosa damage.
3. Pepsinogen I/II ratio pepsinogen I/II
ratio can reflect the secretion function and damage degree of gastric mucosa. If the ratio is reduced, it indicates that gastric mucosa is damaged and gastric acid secretion is abnormal.
