What are the parts of the human intestine?

Your health, my mission. Your recovery, my joy.
The intestines are divided into the small intestine, the large intestine, and the appendix.
1. The small
intestine is the longest part of the digestive system and is divided into the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum. The main function of the small intestine is to absorb nutrients such as amino acids, glucose, and fatty acids that are decomposed from food and then transported to various parts of the body through the bloodstream.
2. The large intestine is mainly
used to absorb water and form feces. It is composed of the cecum, colon, and rectum. After feces are formed here, they are excreted through the rectum.
3. The
appendix is a small organ located at the end of the cecum and is usually considered part of the immune system. Although it has no definite digestive function, in some cases, such as appendicitis, it may affect the digestive system.
