What is the healing process of intestinal ulcers?

Healing with compassion, caring with dedication.
The healing process of intestinal ulcer includes active period, healing period, scar period, etc.
1. Active period
When intestinal ulcer is in active period, there is thick moss at the bottom of ulcer. After the condition is improved, there will be regenerative epithelium on the mucosal surface, marking that the ulcer has entered the healing process.
2. Healing period
In healing period, the white moss at the bottom of ulcer is thin, and the redness of regenerative epithelium rises upwards. Subsequently, the moss film at the bottom of ulcer will gradually become thin, and eventually it will appear as a line or small dot.
3. Scar period
Scar formation begins on the ulcer surface, which is caused by the gradual replacement of damaged tissue by new granulation tissue and epithelial cells. As time goes by, the color of regenerative epithelium will gradually turn white, marking that the ulcer has completely healed.
