What causes ileitis?

Healing with hope, guiding with care.
Causes of ileitis include infection factors, drug factors, radiation factors, etc.
1. Infection factors
If the diet is usually unhygienic, the food or water source is contaminated by bacteria, viruses, parasites, or there are infectious diseases in other parts of the body, such as appendicitis or diverticulitis, etc., it is easy to invade the ileum and cause ileitis.
2. Drug factors, such
as after patients use antibiotics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or anticancer drugs, the digestive tract mucosa can be damaged due to side effects of the drugs, leading to dysfunction and inducing ileitis.
3. Radiation factors
If a patient repeatedly comes into contact with radioactive substances during examination or treatment, it may cause acute damage to the ileum or other intestinal mucosa and form ileitis.
