What are the types of gastric polyps?

Gastric polyps can be divided into fundal gland polyps, inflammatory polyps, hyperplastic polyps and adenomatous polyps.

1, fundal gland

polyps are mostly caused by long-term use of proton pump inhibitors and H2 receptor antagonists and other drugs, mostly benign and a large number.

2, inflammatory polyps

inflammatory polyps and gastritis, polyp volume is generally small, when the volume is large, easy to cause pyloric obstruction and gastrointestinal bleeding.

3, hyperplastic polyps

Hyperplastic polyps are mainly caused by Helicobacter pylori infection, with a certain cancer rate, but not more than 1%, the volume of large hyperplastic polyps need timely treatment to remove it.

4, adenomatous polyps

adenomatous polyps belong to a precancerous lesion, need timely treatment under endoscopy.
