Why fungal esophagitis

Fungal esophagitis is considered to be caused by pathogen infection such as Candida albicans and Candida tropicalis. It is induced by decreased immunity, damaged esophageal mucosa and drug factors.

People with low immunity are vulnerable to invasion of foreign pathogens, thus causing fungal esophagitis.

2. Damaged esophageal mucosa

When the mucosa of the esophagus is damaged due to various reasons, it can lead to a decrease in local defense ability. After the esophagus loses protection, it is vulnerable to fungal infection, causing fungal esophagitis.

3. Drug factors

If antibiotics, hormones, immune agents and other drugs are used for a long time, microbial growth in the body can be inhibited, resulting in imbalance of human flora, resulting in fungal mass reproduction and causing fungal esophagitis.
