For duodenal ulcer and local inflammation, endoscopy, blood test and barium meal examination are required.
1. Endoscopy The
doctor will insert an endoscope into the esophagus, stomach and duodenum through the throat to check whether there is inflammation and ulcer and other abnormalities in the mucosa. Biopsy can also be performed if necessary, that is, a small tissue sample can be taken for pathological examination.
2. Blood test
Blood test can reflect the active degree of inflammation by detecting indicators such as C-reactive protein and white blood cell count, and can judge duodenal bleeding by detecting red blood cell count.
3. Barium meal examination
The examiner needs to drink liquid containing barium according to the doctor's advice, and then X-ray photography is performed to check whether there is ulcer, inflammation or other abnormalities in the mucosa.
