Causes of mesenteric lymph node enlargement in adults

Adult mesenteric lymph node enlargement may be caused by infection, inflammatory bowel disease, tumor and other reasons.

1. Infection

is one of the most common causes of mesenteric lymph node enlargement.

Inflammatory bowel disease such

as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, may lead to mesenteric lymph node enlargement. These diseases can cause inflammation of the digestive tract mucosa, which in turn leads to mesenteric lymph node enlargement.

3. Tumors such

as intestinal cancer, malignant lymphoma and other tumor diseases, when spread in the lymphatic system, can also lead to mesenteric lymph node enlargement.
