What is the cause of cholecystitis

Building a healthier future together.
Cholecystitis is caused by bacteria infection, gallbladder emptying disorders, gallstones, etc.
1. Bacterial infection
Common bacteria that cause infection include Escherichia coli, Streptococcus, etc. When the above bacteria enter the gallbladder, they can cause infection and inflammation, i.e. cholecystitis.
2. Gallbladder emptying disorders
can cause a large amount of cholestasis in the gallbladder, which can provide an ideal growth environment for pathogens to reproduce and cause cholecystitis.
3. Gallstones
Gallstones are common causes of cholecystitis. When the stones are too large, they are easy to block the gallbladder or gallbladder ducts, leading to bile retention and inducing bacterial infection, resulting in cholecystitis.
