What is the most serious HPV model?

HPV types 16 and 18 are the most severe. HPV types 16 and 18 infection is the highest risk factor for cervical cancer, because more than 70% of cervical cancer is related to HPV types 16 and 18. If HPV test results are 16 or 18, regardless of cervical cytology results, colposcopy should be done. If necessary, cervical biopsy should be performed under colposcopy. Further treatment should be decided according to the test results. HPV high-risk persistent infection is a high-risk factor for cervical cancer, so for every woman with sexual history, HPV virus detection should be done, and cervical cancer screening should be combined with cervical cytology examination.
