HPV infection and high-risk sex life related?

HPV infection is divided into high-risk HPV infection and low-risk HPV infection. Different HPV subtypes are infected in different clinical ways. Low-risk HPV infection, such as HPV type 6 and HPV type 11 infection, is often related to high-risk sexual life, or multiple sexual partners will cause this low-risk HPV infection, which will be manifested as genital warts, which is one of the sexually transmitted diseases. If high-risk HPV infection is clinically related to sexual life, it will not be transmitted through sexual contact. Married women or women with a history of sexual life should be screened regularly for cervical cancer, because persistent high-risk HPV infection in the cervix may cause precancerous lesions in the cervical epithelium and even develop into cervical cancer.
