Can polymyositis be cured

Polymyositis is usually difficult to cure completely. Polymyositis is normally a rheumatic disease, which may be caused by infection or vascular disease, or by genetic factors. It can generally be treated with oral drugs, such as glucocorticoids. It usually takes more than a year to improve the patient's symptoms, but after stopping the drug, it may also show recurrence. If hormone therapy is not effective, it can also be combined with drugs such as methotrexate.
