How can rheumatoid arthritis be treated?

Restoring balance, one patient at a time.
Rheumatoid arthritis is a common chronic autoimmune disease. Treatment includes antirheumatic and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The combination of these two drugs can quickly relieve symptoms and delay the progression of the disease. Because many patients with rheumatoid arthritis do not receive this timely and standardized treatment in the early stage, they progress to advanced rheumatoid arthritis, showing obvious joint deformity and joint contracture, resulting in loss of joint function. In view of this situation, joint replacement is needed to alleviate symptoms and improve joint function. This surgical treatment is mainly for knee joints, hip joints and other large joints. For other joint involvement, if joint replacement cannot be performed, physical therapy such as massage and acupuncture can be considered.
