Difference between subacute lupus erythematosus and discoid erythema

The difference between subacute lupus erythematosus and discoid erythema is that the normal rash is not the same. Subacute lupus lesions are non-responsive. Normally, there are no hair follicle angle plugs and telangiectasia. They rarely show scars, but they may also lead to permanent pigment changes. Discoid erythema generally has no obvious symptoms in the early stage. A few patients may show fatigue, fever, joint pain or muscle pain. Normally, they rarely regress automatically.
