What does cervical type 2 transformation mean?

Committed to your health journey.
The transformation zone of the cervix refers to the junction of squamous epithelium and columnar epithelial cells of the cervix, also known as the heterotypic large squamous epithelium of the cervix, which is the relatively high incidence of cervical cancer. The transformation zone of the cervix generally includes type I, type II and type III. Type II transformation zone means that the transformation zone cannot be seen under colposcopy or part of the transformation zone can be seen, but with the help of some instruments, the complete transformation zone can be seen, that is, this transformation zone is generally partially located in the cervical canal. It is only a type of transformation zone. Generally, when cervical conization surgery is performed, it is necessary to determine the transformation zone. The depth of cutting can be determined according to the type of transformation zone.
