What does hepatic angiosarcoma mean?

Empowering you to live your best life.
Hepatic angiosarcoma is a rare malignant mesenchymal tumor originating from the endothelial cells of the blood sinus. The
etiology of hepatic angiosarcoma is not fully understood, and it is generally believed that it may be related to improper use of estrogen and steroids. After the stimulation of hepatic sinus cells by adverse factors, atypical hyperplasia may occur, resulting in clinical symptoms such as loss of appetite and abdominal pain. As the disease progresses, the lungs and spleen may be involved.
Patients should receive clinical symptoms in time after diagnosis of the disease to remove the focus, and long-term chemotherapy to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells. Generally, it can improve the prognosis.
