How many weeks is the hepatitis C window?

Your health, my mission. Your recovery, my joy.
Hepatitis C is a virus that causes hepatitis C infection. The window period is usually 2 weeks to 6 months.
Hepatitis C is caused by infection with hepatitis C virus. This period is called the window period before antibodies are produced after the virus invades the body. Due to individual differences and different degrees of infection, the window period is 2 weeks to 6 months. If there is a history of exposure to hepatitis C virus, it is recommended to do a good hepatitis C screening. If no positive change occurs after 6 months, hepatitis C virus infection can be ruled out.
Some infected patients may clear the virus through their immune system, but if the virus persists for a long time, it may also increase the risk of liver cirrhosis and liver cancer.
