What's wrong with four-dimensional color Doppler ultrasound left ventricular bright spot?

In the second trimester fetal ultrasound examination, sometimes strong localized echo can be found in the heart, generally more in the left ventricle, the earliest report of this phenomenon and aneuploidy chromosome abnormalities associated. Observed in normal infants about 2% of the performance, 21-trisomy children up to 16%, 13-trisomy children up to 39%. It is believed that the risk of chromosomal abnormalities in fetuses found in both ventricles or in the right ventricle alone is twice as high as that found in the left ventricle alone, because the detection rate in the second trimester of pregnancy may vary according to the sensitivity of the instrument, the direction of the sound beam when exploring the heart, and the skill of the operator, and may decrease or disappear with the increase of gestational age.
