Newborn jaundice usually appears a few days after birth

Neonatal jaundice is a disease caused by abnormal bilirubin metabolism in the body during the neonatal period. If it is physiological jaundice, it generally appears in 2~3 days after birth and subsides in 7~10 days. If it is pathological jaundice, it generally appears within 24 hours of birth and lasts for a long time. Premature infants may last for 4 weeks.
