How does a stethoscope hear pneumonia?

Empathy in care, excellence in medicine.
Pneumonia stethoscope can hear different murmurs at different stages. At the beginning of pneumonia, the respiratory sounds that can be heard are generally thicker, faster and deeper than soft and gentle respiratory sounds. In addition, the respiratory sound is relatively coarse. once pneumonia enters the exudation stage, wet rales can be heard outside the thorax of pneumonia, similar to blisters. The relatively small grunting sound can be heard in the radiation area. When pneumonia is more serious and completely consolidated, respiratory sounds will not be heard in this part during respiratory ventilation, which is not necessarily a good thing. Sometimes the inflammation range is too large and the lungs are completely consolidated. There is also a case where pneumonia may cause pleural effusion when it is close to the pleura. once pleural effusion is produced, respiratory sounds will not be heard in this part.
