Causes of atelectasis

Your health, my mission. Your recovery, my joy.
Atelectasis is often caused by airway obstruction. For example, in clinical practice, it is not tumor that causes airway obstruction. It can cause atelectasis, especially near the hilum of the lung. In addition, tuberculosis is also one of the causes of lung distension. When lung union involves the airway, it can cause airway stenosis, thus causing lung distension. For example, in the case of airway foreign body, if the airway is blocked, it may also cause lung distension, and even pneumonia can also show lung distension. If the patient with pneumonia has more sputum, it may block the airway and cause atelectasis; the right middle lung and left lung tongue segment are relatively narrow, and inflammation in these parts is easy to cause atelectasis. Even patients with hemoptysis are prone to atelectasis if clots block the airway.
