How to treat extremely severe pulmonary hypertension

Building a healthier future, together.
Extremely severe pulmonary hypertension can be treated in the following ways: 1. Oxygen therapy. Hypoxia can cause pulmonary vasoconstriction and cause structural remodeling of pulmonary arterioles, thus accelerating the progression of pulmonary hypertension. Therefore, oxygen therapy can ensure the oxygen supply to organs throughout the body. Therefore, the speed of minimal arterial remodeling is delayed, and the symptoms of pulmonary hypertension are relieved. 2. Vasodilators can be taken orally, such as nifedipine or bosentan, or they can be treated with anticoagulation. Although anticoagulation does not improve symptoms, it delays disease progression and thus improves prognosis. Diuresis and cardiotonic therapy should be given when right heart failure is present to improve cardiac load.
