What causes lung calcification?

Lung calcification is mostly due to previous lung infection or tuberculosis, after treatment or self-healing of their own immunity similar scar tissue, in the chest imaging performance of high-density shadow. Lung calcification spots and calcification focus belong to old lesions, generally no symptoms, do not need treatment, only need regular review, generally recommended review chest CT. Chest CT is recommended at least once a year if the patient has a history of smoking or chronic respiratory diseases such as chronic bronchitis, emphysema, tuberculosis, bronchiectasis, or lung abscess.
