Pathogenesis of edema due to pulmonary heart disease

Cor pulmonale is mainly due to various lung diseases caused by abnormal lung tissue structure, resulting in increased lung function pressure, right ventricular dilatation hypertrophy, so showing a manifestation of heart failure. The main diseases causing cor pulmonale include bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer and so on. When the pulmonary circulation resistance is increased, it can cause the number of alveolar capillaries to decrease, capillary permeability to increase, pulmonary hypertension, thus causing edema of cor pulmonale. Edema is also a common clinical symptom of patients with cor pulmonale.
