Is the pressure difference of left and right arm very big hypertension

Your health, my unwavering commitment.
In clinical practice, there is no specific explanation that a large pressure difference between the left and right arms is hypertension, and the pressure difference is not the basis for the diagnosis of hypertension.
When the pressure difference between the left and right arms is large, it indicates that the blood flow of the left and right upper limbs is obviously affected. If the patient has brachial artery disease, when measuring the blood pressure of both arms, the blood pressure value is usually affected by local stenosis and sclerosis. The presence of aortic dissection and involvement of an artery opening usually leads to abnormal decrease in the blood pressure of the affected arm, thus causing a large pressure difference. Therefore, the pressure difference does not indicate the existence of hypertension.
