How long does it take to cure caries?

Clinically, caries can be divided into three types according to the depth of the lesion. The first type is shallow caries, only in the enamel layer. The second type is medium caries, which is in the superficial dentin. The third type is deep caries, which is deep in the dentin. The shallow caries and medium caries can be filled in one time, so it takes about 15 minutes to fill a tooth. If deep caries, it is possible to directly fill teeth, so that one can also be done, usually about 20 minutes. If deep caries patients are sensitive, it is possible to first do soothing treatment, wait until 4 to 6 weeks later to do filling teeth, so this patient needs about a month to a month and a half.
