Nasal congestion, cough, phlegm, cold or wind-heat?

Restoring balance, restoring life.
Traditional Chinese medicine believes that nasal obstruction and cough with phlegm may be due to wind-cold or wind-heat.
Wind-cold mainly refers to exogenous wind-cold syndrome caused by cold season in autumn and winter and low air-conditioning temperature in summer, which can lead to cold contraction and pathogen depression in lung defense, causing nasal obstruction and cough with phlegm symptoms; wind-heat mainly refers to exogenous wind-heat syndrome caused by wind-heat pathogen invading exterior and lung qi loss, which can lead to combination of wind and heat, unstable external defense of the body, causing nasal obstruction and cough with phlegm symptoms.
It is recommended that patients with nasal obstruction and cough with phlegm symptoms should be diagnosed according to the examination methods of traditional Chinese medicine.
