The difference between dental prostheses and fillings

Healing with compassion, caring with dedication.
Dental prosthetics and dental fillings are two completely different concepts. For dental fillings, the natural teeth should be left in the mouth, which means using different materials including amalgam, resin, nano-resin and glass ionomer to restore the shape of the patient's real teeth. A series of measures such as aesthetics and texture are what we call dental fillings. It is just a treatment method that a natural tooth is missing and artificial materials are used to restore the missing part of the natural tooth. Dental prosthetics is the treatment of natural teeth with artificial dentures, including crowns and roots, after the patient's natural teeth are completely missing from the crown to the roots. Therefore, dental prosthetics and dental fillings belong to two different departments. Dental fillings belong to the treatment of oral medicine, and dental prosthetics belongs to the operation of oral prosthetics. Natural teeth are very magical. Any artificial dentures are inferior to real teeth. No matter in morphology or function, there is a big gap between them and real teeth.
