What's going on with cardiac arrest?

Dedicated to your healing journey.
Cardiac arrest may be caused by coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, respiratory arrest, severe acid-base imbalance, etc.
1. Coronary atherosclerotic heart disease
Cholesterol and other substances in the arteries accumulate in the coronary artery wall, which may lead to narrowing of the arterial lumen, thus causing coronary atherosclerotic heart disease. If not treated in time, it may cause heart pump failure and cardiac arrest.
2. Respiratory arrest
Airway foreign bodies, drowning, asphyxia, severe brain trauma, etc. may lead to respiratory arrest, and cause systemic organ tissue hypoxia, resulting in cardiac arrest.
3. Severe acid-base imbalance
patients with severe hypokalemia, hyperkalemia and acidosis may cause severe ventricular arrhythmia, resulting in cardiac arrest.
