What to do if there is swelling on the kidney

Kidney cyst is the most common structural abnormality of adult kidney. It can be unilateral or bilateral, one or more cysts, usually about two centimeters in diameter, and also up to ten centimeters in diameter. It occurs more frequently in men, and the incidence increases with age. Simple renal cyst generally has no symptoms. When cyst compression causes vascular occlusion or urinary tract obstruction, it can show corresponding manifestations, which may affect renal function. If the cyst is larger than 5 cm, appropriate treatment should be performed, including aspiration of cyst fluid and injection of sclerosing agent into cyst or surgery.
